This entry still relates to my previous in relation to having decoration items that have the element of 'me' or 'you' in it.

A sister showed me this letter plaque which I went to get myself one.
Thanks sis, you always inspired me...(you know who you are)...
I am expecting to have the letter in pine green or equivalent, but the shop only had the brown one.
So on top of Biby there it goes....

More Peg Bags 1

Sorry if there are readers out there suddenly want to vomit, but I cant stop myself.

I agreed with the Australian magazine Country Decorators Handbook editor, Ms Donna Macpherson says, I quoted, "One of the secrets to achieving the perfectly decorated country home is that it must have a sense of you at its every core.

It is no use creating a picture-perfect home that feels alien to you.

The chosen decoration should not only work for you and your family in practical terms it should also make your heart sing or at the very least make you feel glad when you enter each room." Unquoted.

Last Federal Day public holiday coincidently my friend fr Kerteh were at KL for her time-off short break.

Managed to bring her to Ikea, and its totally packed till we cannot move easily, compared to my usual day visits.

While at LQ got my two pieces peg bags and seems that I have collected all their last Autumn/Winter season's collection.

The new collection has not yet arrived from UK or China (not really sure from where, some may be made in Thailand or China, but still come fr main GBR HQ).

No doubt my visit to the store rarely seen me gone back empty-handed, always full loaded!

And my pocket is leaking non-stop!

Well, at least after a hard day's work (even though only doing house chores), my heart able to sing.

Now that I know why some people have to pay their psychiatrists to be able to feel relieved, and heard them cries.

For me, I invest into Laura Ashley, Romantika, KK Home Deco, Lovely Lace, Ikea, and many other corporations.

And Allah gave me free-of-charge peace of mind. Alhamdulillah!

Peg Bags Passion

Lately I have a craze over peg bags (after so many other craziness, hah ha hah...)

My observation conclude that only Portmeirion and Laura Ashley have those, or maybe I couldnt find RA or any other brands that also have them in their ranges.

My latest purchase was a LA Berry motif, which I gave to my sis in Paka before I snap it on.

Maybe one sweet day I ll get one for myself, and more, and more, more, more...(sound so greedy eh?)

The good thing these bags did to my merely-ornate house was they add color and variation to the deco.

New House Challenges 1

Moving from 750sqft flat to a bigger 1600 house needs a bigger commitment too.

I wonder how did those who live in a mansion or a bungalow, or a bigger than mine survive.

The challenge is to coordinate and decorate it with the minimum ornament at the min cost too.

Not too grand, or a palace standard, where a formal function (or a ball?so English, no we dont have it here anymore) usually held with numerous guests who are normally dignitaries, statesmen, ministers, big taicoons, etc.

My ideal is a humble one, not too shabby but still chic.
I cant afford to have a shabby deco design, because without it I have been screaming like Jane's Tarzan to the little one who continuously mess the house whenever possible, especially when mumy is cooking in the kitchen, showering upstairs, taking a quick nap even for 10 mins, or vegging on sofa watching soaps.

Having friends also helps in deco idea, and a sister has suggested me to cover the open bookcase which I stacked my kitchen ration with a simple checkered curtain.~Without the sewing machine, I managed to sew it by hand and it the result is not bad at all...Thanks to a generous sis's idea

So impressive someone I trust dares to take advantage on me

I am still pressing my head of where to hang my wall shelves to put my more enamel colllections, and getting another Smadals (coz it is so cheap at $429 per cabinet) for the existing Churchill that currently are double stacked in the shelves for limited spaces problem. And also I am getting my Botanic Garden set soon. And the never ending list goes on and on as usual...

Balik Kg Mood in KLCC 2

I've been to KLCC again today for Sony Style, and the lil one enjoyed some Aunt Anne's pretzels.

So yummy, more yummyliscious when you are fasting eh? (even so tempting on normal day, imagine during the fasting?)

Some riddles in my mind that what the Dato' Lat's caricatured deco are for now answered.

They are creating a really expensive, grand atmosphere for a Raya Bazaar.

Nothing new, just the usual kiosk at exhorbitant price tags as usual, but tis time selling more specific items for Raya ie scarfs, tudungs, sampings, and some Raya cookies.

Even at the tag, still I saw people flocked by to shop, so rich...

Balik Kg Mood in KLCC edt

I was browsing at KLCC yesterday and found this lovely decoration at Ramli Mall (or is it Centre Court? sorry cant remember).

The sketch to create a live effect was caricatured by our famous Dato' Lat. Salute Dato'!

So inviting till Waielah has passed the guard rail and made her way to the house , but mummy managed to shout for warning before she dropped mummy's "water face" (so Manglish ya)...

The pictures do the justice, even though it is not yet fully decorated, the whitey deco in English theme is soooo, drolling..

~I have seen many bird cages, but never this soooo gigantic...
~the house, look so alive!~the stall? maybe they are trying to set up a stall to sell something; Dato' Lats' books perhap..

New Wall Cabinets

After ding dong on my hectic balik kg schedule, I had managed to collect these two wall cabinets from Kak Halimah akak Ctima of WMC.

Cramping my head where to put them up, finally I had rest the Portmeirion canisters on one of the cabinets, while it sits firmly on top of Smadal. Hope it will not fall down...

~one cabinet has been occupied. Left are unhang Ayatul Kursi frame,~empty vase, (does tis mean tat I had to keep buying flowers n flowers?,No Way!)~unframed plaque,~and more...

Mini Hen House

Our mother tongue pronounce it as 'reban ayam'. And who knows better than me (whistle blowing?) coz my dad has few of them. Some are even built (yes, with hammer and nails) by my late mum, whom said that if my dad is building one, the house will last forever. Its because he will eradicate it to be as strong as possible for his grandchildren to still enjoy the view (and use of it, perhaps).

As days go by, many were slaughtered for the family feast, and some were sold to the kampung chicken lover eater. And surprisedly, the price is a bit more expensiver from the modern breed one.

In my modern house in the city, I had just bought myself a simple house to store some eggs since hubby like to eat the half-boiled eggs, sometimes 3 at a time. Unfortunately mine only can occupy up to 12 eggs, so stock are running fast!

And one unlucky day an egg became a victim of the curious little hand, because she has started asking mummy few question before like "whose chicken is tat?, whose eggs are there? etc etc". So some experiment are best ran by experience! And please keep experimenting dear, mummy cant afford to forbid you...only not on dangerous things!

I am still drowsy from medication and could not rush back to kg to visit a sister who has been warded for a stroke. May Allah bless her, Amin..!!

Fridge Magnets (FMs)

A hobby that attracts people from all walks of live. I just realised that I have quite a sizeable fridge, even sometimes am still juggling some items over another. My fridge is a a 3-storey bungalow (not a mansion or palace yet) in a mouse world. Some FMs in my collection, and I am counting...

Tin Collection Start Up

This entry, if you have sceptical eye has no ' first' word in it. Its because I had my 1st tin collection back in 1990's college years and they are the round sunflowers. I used to had a deep affection on sunflowers.
The sunflower then seems to lost some of its friends, somebody had taken them from my dad's house which I dont dare to ask for a return. Cause I dont want to be labelled as mean or rude. I want them to be returned by volunteer.

As usual, my current additions were procured from WMc sellers too.

My First Wall Rack

Its so satisfying and practical to have a decent wall rack regardless of size for those who live in a limited (or, quite small) space house like me. Mine is rented, of 870sf only.
So wallla, to show off to you my first wall rack, so small, so short, so humble....

Simple Flower Arrangement

This vase was purchased from online store, ie wana rainhouse tree. After waiting for months and months, the three bouquet of roses i bought fr KK finally found its home to rest peacefully (not die la!).

And last blik kg, I brought it home to pass to my sis as promised.Surprisingly, its the 1st flower arrangement in her house considered she and her spouse just moved in to their new house. Dont worry, sis. Lots more to come to you.Always lot of drama for the first of everything just like the other firsts in our life. Even a simple matter, a flower arrangement. The flower from my house, I forgot to snap the arranged one fr her hse. I believed there are others out there who had have grandier arrangement, but I m still proud of my own. My favourite is the look-like real roses, my 2nd flowers in the hse after I have discarded my dusty calla lillies..So breathtaking in closer, here it goes.. And lastly, talking about flower, my arrangement has gone to kelam-kabut in the hand of the little genius, so tell me how am I not going crazy?? Who can answer that?

Display Cabinet Occupied

Think that the pictures say their own words. So layanzzz....

My 1st Display Cabinet(s)

The smadal bookcase, which is in turn is deco plate display cabinet to me.

In fact, it will accomodate not only deco plate, but also my other collections as I dont have a kitchen cabinet to store them in the limited spaced kitc.

Having started my deco plates collections, I strongly need proper display cabinet to put all the acquisition. And having a 3-yrs old daughter made the needs more to necessary, because i would not want her to keep uploading and downloading (bring up, bring down = housekeeping!) the plates all over the house.
So after lovely (ahem!) hubby approved the purchase, I brought her to Ikea to get wat I had eyed for quite sometimes, Smadal Cabinet. This cabinet is quite cheap at RM429 per unit, (compared to those way too overpriced whitey english furniture). Got 2, and also Biby Glass Display Unit (very light at RM299), some Lanni white chair for our dining table, proper dine chair for a little one, i was half satisfied!

Wait until hubby saw the bill then!He will jump to sky to see the 4 digits. Patience, patience.
